Shelf inspection with expertise and professional knowledge

Shelf inspection with the iNoRisk app –Shelf inspection must be carried out properly by people with expertise. There are still too many preventable accidents that involve violations of safety compliance.

The iNoRisk app was developed to enable fully digital and transparent documentation of inspections and to facilitate the processing of identified defects in connection with storage in shelves.

Affected shelf systems are predominantly used in warehouses, logistics, retail, and wholesale, and they include fixed shelves such as shelving racks, pallet racks, cantilever racks, drive-in racks, drive-through racks, and flow racks. Forklift trucks are commonly used in conjunction with these shelf systems.

With the iNoRisk inspection app to safe shelf inspection

With the iNoRisk app, various points containing a shelf inspection can be checked and documented.

During a shelf inspection, several aspects have to be checked, marked, compared and recorded. Accessible storage facilities and areas should undergo visual inspection, with special attention given to compliance with regulations regarding the construction and operation of the storage facility. Information provided by the manufacturer should be compared with labels or load capacity markings.

In addition to assessment by a person with expertise, an important component is the marking and logging of damaged components and the determination of their causes. Subsequently, an inspection report is created, which contains explanations of damage and recommendations for prevention. In a subsequent final meeting, the action plan and the respective deadlines are discussed. You will also receive advice on how to carry out internal visual inspections during the year.

Shelf inspection procedure

A shelf inspection can be carried out during ongoing operations from Monday to Saturday without disruption, and by arrangement outside Germany also on Sundays.

At the beginning, a person with expertise reviews documents of the manufacturing company and, if necessary, previous inspection records for the professional and proper implementation of the shelf inspection.

Using the iNoRisk iPad App, an expert, either alone or together with your designated rack safety officer, conducts a comprehensive inspection of your rack systems. During the assessment, a transparent and comprehensive photo documentation is created, and an evaluation of defects and damages is performed and documented in the app.

The responsible contact person on-site and the designated recipient receive a clear and comprehensive protocol in digital form after the inspection and assessment.

Your advantage

  • Testing of your fixed steel shelving system is possible throughout Europe, independent of the manufacturing company or delivery service, objectively and neutrally.
  • Certified occupational safety specialists (Health and Safety Officers), engineers, or trained safety officers for shelf systems conduct your inspection.
  • Our specially developed iNoRisk iPad app is used for inspections and risk assessments to ensure complete documentation according to EN 15635. (German and English)

Important information about shelving systems

  • Shelf systems are subject to mandatory inspection requirements, which are legally and normatively regulated. Strict adherence to inspection deadlines and requirements is essential to reduce the risk of serious accidents.
  • There are no hidden costs or additional charges to worry about. The inspection period and scope are transparent and fairly calculated based on fixed daily rates. Any additional costs would be related to travel expenses, accommodation, and meals. The flat rates for daily rates and expenses are determined for a period of 1 to 3 years, depending on the specific agreement or contract.
